The Full Lamination: GFF, OGS, Oncell, Incell


GFF is to make the touch screen sensor on the transparent winding substrate, and then paste it on the CG(cover glass). Simply put, the full fit process is to change the touch layer of the glass substrate in the middle of the non-fully fit process to a thin film substrate. Then, the conductive coating (IOT Film, indium tin oxide film) is then applied on the upper and lower sides of the film substrate, reducing the thickness. The GFF of Technological Process:

  • Sheet glass--Slicing--Front and back film--Strong acid corrodes edge serrations--Chemical reinforcement--Cover Glass
  • Film yellow light process/Laser (making touchline on PET material)--Film Sensor
  • Cover Glass+Glue+Film Senor-- OCA -- LCM -- Complete

2. OGS process direct touch sensor to cover glass, the overall thickness is thin, touch sensitivity is high, optics effect. However, since large pieces of glass need to be cut after making touch circuits in the process, the cutting process will produce many jagged edges and corners, and the product may have chipping problems, so its strength is low. And the OGS of Technological Process:

Sheet Glass - Chemical strengthening (to make the glass structure full) - yellow light process/Laser (to make touch circuits) - Cutting--Front and back film - Strong acid etching edge serrations - Chemical reinforcement - OCA - LCM

Embed the touch sensor between the polarizer and the filter of the display screen

4. Incell

Embed the touchscreen sensor into the LCD layer of the display

Advantages/disadvantages of GFF/OGS/Incell/Oncell


  • GFF- high yield, low cost, high cover strength
  • OGS-single glass process, simple process, large production capacity, good optical effect, high sensitivity
  • Incell- Thin, high strength, good optical effect
  • Oncell- Thin, high strength, good optical effect


  • GFF- There is an optical glue gap between the screen surface and LCM, and there are obvious wrinkles on the edge.
  • OGS- low strength
  • Incell- complex technology, low yield rate
  • Oncell- The technology is complicated and the color is prone to unevenness.

Full lamination process: GF, GG, TOL

The full lamination process also includes GF, GG, and TOL processes.

GF: The direction of GFF technology evolution, that is, the original two-layer film for touch screen sensing is reduced to one layer. GG is a glass capacitive touch panel. Based on the different design positions of the sensing layer, GF has derived G1F1\GF2

GG uses sputtering ITO patterns on glass substrates, which replaces the ITO film used by GFF. The GG structure supports point touch, but the Glass Sensor cannot be used for the opposite sex, and the thickness is thick, generally 1.37mm.

TOL: Touch On Lens The only difference between this process and OGS is that TOL cuts the glass first, then strengthens the glass, and then does the touch, while OGS vitreizes a large single piece and does the touch before cutting.
